Each jar of Nikhaar is handmade in the founder's gardens in Central India using local, ethically sourced and natural ingredients. Being a family recipe, the entire process of over three months-buying ingredients, drying the produce, crushing and packing each jar is overseen by women in the founders family that have been making this mask for their own use since the 1950s!
Orange peels are recycled from the largest local juice shops, sandalwood from nearby temples and almonds from around the country. Orange peels are dried under direct sunlight for a number of weeks while other ingredients are strained and crushed to the finest powder.
The final mixing is overseen by our most experienced hand(s), as
proportions are key to your perfect jar of Nikhaar. This process has been the same for nearly half a century, and we're proud to keep it that way!
